Gorilla Ears Reviews | Custom in ear monitor reviews

We posted a few reviews a few weeks ago here. Here are some of the newest Gorilla Ears reviews:

I have used 3-4 other companies in ears. All with mixed results. It was not until I got my Gorilla GX3-b’s that my on stage experience change. I could actually hear each instrument with an incredible clarity. I have my in ear volume about 1/3 less. I am hearing everything and protecting my ears at the same time. The isolation is the perfect amount for drumming.

I own a custom drum shop in Rutherford, NJ. I would not risk the good name of my company endorsing a junk product just to get my name on their web site. I am extremely careful about what companies I work with. Alan at Gorilla ears does what he says he will do and his products are top quality.

I’m a horn player and most of my work is in a studio setting. I’ve got a box full of brand name headsets (on ear, over the ear) that work fine but the ear fatigue was killing me and I was constantly worrying about noise (bleed) coming from the sets. That’s when I begin searching for an in-ear solution. I chose Gorilla Ears because of their fabulous sound, perfect fit, and world-class customer service. You owe it to yourself to give them a try. I’m a very happy customer!

Purchased for band use during Praise and Worship and rehersal’s. Can’t believe the quality and build of the product and of course the sound reproduction. If I didn’t know these were in my ear’s then I would be standing in front of my Fender rig. Can hear everyone else with crystal clarity. Not the most expensive they sell, nor the least expensive, well worth the investment and made in the USA!!!!

Modern Drummer Magazine : Gorilla Ears

Gorilla Ears Custom In Ear monitors are featured in the February 2013 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine. Gorilla Ears are custom fit to your ear with 2, 3 or 5 speakers (per ear) options. Gorilla Ears are high fidelity, low profile music monitors perfect for musicians and audiophiles.

Press Release : Janus Development Group introduces Gorilla Ears

From the Daily Reflector:

Janus Development Group Inc. announced that it has launched the Gorilla Ears line of in-ear music monitors to meet the needs of discerning musicians and music enthusiasts who want a high-quality and reasonably priced in-ear monitor with great sound.

Gorilla Ears was created based on the market need for a lower-profile, superior-sounding in-ear monitor. Gorilla Ears allow the wearer to experience audio clarity, detail and separation while listening at a much lower sound volume than ever before. The result is a premium in-ear music monitor that offers hearing protection and conservation beyond other products on the market.

Each Gorilla Ear monitor is custom-made. Using a negative impression of the customer’s ears, Gorilla Ears are constructed from liquid acrylic, designed to withstand the moist, humid conditions of the inner ear and to contain anywhere from one to five speakers (drivers) for each ear. The result is a sound-isolating earphone that delivers a hi-fidelity sound direct to the ear canal, blocking out almost all environmental noises and disturbances.

Gorilla Ears are available in two different series, AT and GX, and each series is available in one, two, three or five drivers (speakers) configurations per ear. In addition, the two and three driver models can be ordered in a bass setup, which has a dedicated driver for the lower frequencies and is suited for bassists and drummers.

The Gorilla Ears AT series features a front-facing, non-detachable cord, ideal for motorcyclists, audiophiles and the casual user. The GX series is designed for the performing musician and features a detachable cord that wraps over and behind the ear.

“We’re confident that even the most discriminating audiophile is going to be completely blown away by the sound of these in-ears,” Alan Newton, president of Janus Development Group, said.

“And with competitive prices and a no-questions-asked installment plan, you no longer have to be a headlining act to protect your hearing.”

Founded in 2001, Janus Development Group ( is a privately held S-Corporation. Its SpeechEasy product, an in-ear fluency device for people who stutter, is the smallest, most popular and most preferred fluency product available worldwide.
